BEFORE COURSE START

  • How do I enroll for the course?

  • Is the CBC a certification/full qualification?

Yes, upon passing the CBC Competency Assessent, candidates will receive the certification and full qualification. IBS is the certification awarding body and certification owner.


  • Are there course fees discounts?

We offer 100% scholarships (not including assessment fees) to Full-Time students, Seniors above 60 years old and Blue CHAS card holders, this is subject to application and approval. There are also SkillsFuture Credits Funding and NTUC e2i UTAP Funding available.


  • Can I take the learning units one by one instead of enrolling in the whole programme?

You will need to enroll into the CBC programme. During the eLearning, you can attempt the learning units individually during the given window.


  • If the CBC course did not meet the minimum class size of 5 pax, what will happen?

An invoice will only be issued to you once there is a minimum of 5 pax. However, if you have paid the fees in advance, there will be full fee refund to you or you can request for the next intake.


  • I have registered for the CBC course and paid for it, can I defer/postpone?

Yes you can with no additional charges. However, each learner can only defer/postpone 1 time.


  • Is this a full time or part time course?

This is a part time course. As IBS is not a Private Education Institution, we cannot offer full time courses.


  • Where do I check the next course run?

  • I have emailed or texted IBS. How long can I get a response?

As IBS is not managed by full-time staffs, we strive to achieve a customer service level of 3 working days for email enquiries, and within 1 day for Telegram enquiries.


  • I have applied for the course/scholarship, when will I receive the invoice/application outcome?

We will start processing the application 2 months before the course start date.

DURING COURSE

  • I am not feeling well or having urgent matters to attend to, can I leave halfway?

You may leave. However, all learners are required to fulfill 75% of the attendance and complete all assessment (if any) at the end of the day. Your absence may result in not passing the learning unit. You will need to retake the learning unit.


  • Will there be video recording during class?

Yes, the course will be recorded for audit purposes.


AFTER COURSE

  • I have completed the Competency Assessment will I received the certificate?

After the exam, the processing time is 14 days to mark the papers and if you pass (Competent) the exam, you will receive the certificate.


  • If I did not pass the Competency Assessment, what should I do next?

You can register for the next Competency Assessment and pay for the fees. Alternatively, if you wish to appeal, you may email to aeb@ibs.edu.sg with your reasons/justifications within 7 working days after receiving the results, and submit an appeal fee of $30. Appeal is not 100% guaranteed.


  • Does IBS provide job placement after CBC Course and/or Competency Assessment?

No. IBS is not a licensed employment agency and we can't do job matching and job placement. CBC graduates' hiring potential will be based on their own merits.
