LEARNING UNIT Description

Learning Unit Code: CBCC-BGPI

Technical Competency Standard (TSC):

Data Governance - FSE-SNA-3008-1.1-1 (Level 3)

Credit Value: 2

Learning Mode: E-Learning (Self-Directed Learning)

Pre-requisite : CBC-FBP Fintech & Blockchain Primer

Synopsis:

Have you been part of a community or organisation that is decentralized where there are no owners or CEOs, everyone in the community having equal vote and/or rights. How does a "decentralized" group make decisions and reach consensus?

Due to the nature of blockchain being decentralized, the blockchain governance can be complex, difficult to implement and its governance principles being nascent. Yet, Blockchain governance is very essential in creating and maintaining the rules of the blockchain.

In CBC-BG, we will look into blockchain governance principles in general, data privacy and identity issues and the interoperability of blockchain systems.
