Blockchain Governance, PRIVACY & IDENTITY
LEARNING UNIT Description
Learning Unit Code: CBCC-BGPI
Technical Competency Standard (TSC):
Data Governance - FSE-SNA-3008-1.1-1 (Level 3)
Credit Value: 2
Learning Mode: E-Learning (Self-Directed Learning)
Have you been part of a community or organisation that is decentralized where there are no owners or CEOs, everyone in the community having equal vote and/or rights. How does a "decentralized" group make decisions and reach consensus?
Due to the nature of blockchain being decentralized, the blockchain governance can be complex, difficult to implement and its governance principles being nascent. Yet, Blockchain governance is very essential in creating and maintaining the rules of the blockchain.
In CBC-BG, we will look into blockchain governance principles in general, data privacy and identity issues and the interoperability of blockchain systems.
By the end of this Learning Unit, learners will be able to:
Topic 1 - Blockchain Governance
Central Idea of Governance
Public vs Private vs Hybrid Blockchain
Permissioned & Permissionless Blockchain
Blockchain Rules, Regulations & Standards
Topic 2 - Blockchain Interoperability
Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) & Non-DLT Systems (Oracle)
On-chain & Off-chain
Cross-chain & Side-chain
DLT, Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) and Blockchain
Topic 3 - Blockchain Privacy & Identity
e-Assessment (1 hour)
Asynchronous eLearning (1 week - recommended 3 learning hours per week)
There will be an e-Assessment for this learning unit.
The Assessment Method for e-assessment is Writing Assignment.
